Abandoned Car Leads To Search For Missing Woman,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
NASHVILLE,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Tenn. Police are searching for a missing woman after her SUV was found abandoned Friday morning at the center of the Korean Veterans Memorial Bridge.
Police are looking for 38-year-old Stephanie Higgins,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. discovered Lexus RX 300 SUV with its flashers on and engine running,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. A pair of woman shoes was under the pedals,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]; a purse and coat were found in the front seating area,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Police said there were no signs of foul play in or around the Lexus,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
Officers have learned that Higgins has been experiencing emotional issues,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and said it is possible that she jumped from the bridge into the Cumberland River.
A police helicopter flew over the river looking for any sign of Higgins,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but have not spotted anything. The Fire Department and Office of Emergency Management also checked the water.
Higgins is African-American,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and is described as 5 tall and weighs 160 pounds.
