My 11 yr. old is going into middle school this fall. My son has loved their clothes for years now (he 16). They are VERY affordable and all the kids are wearing them! A few name brands you could look for are Oakley, North Face, Diesel and QuickSilver (might be your best bet). No kid should get picked on carrying one of these name brands since these are about as high end as school backpacks come and can not be purchased at a Wal-Mart or Target. I understand not wanting to give into the feeling of needing a name brand to fit in, but at least you can look at it as they are high quality and will not fall apart on him.

I'm still seeing a lot of skulls on boys clothing and stuff. It's a cool look, I think. Not gory or about death, but just as a design.
I hope he doesn't let the kids bother him too much for not wearing the big expensive brands. I'm sure you've explained to him that you can get more things if you pay less for the non-brand name stuff.
