A young man was flipping through a book and others were chitchatting when Joseph "Black Atticus" Woods began reciting poetry at the World Grotto on a recent evening.
Not a flowery sonnet. Not the hipster verse of beatniks in berets.

Clark began performing at 13. Many of his first venues were bars.

BlackSunshine wants to expand its community work, to tour, perhaps to sign with a record label. A production company has expressed interest in doing a documentary, Woods said.
