New system to counter electronic jamming unveiled
BASINGSTOKE, England, Sept. 10 () -- A new system that allows for communications on battlefields where there is heavy electronic jamming has been introduced by Exelis of Britain.The lightweight system, which can be integrated into existing radios and electronic counter-measures,[url=http://www.xirland.com]christian louboutin men[/url], is called the Integrated Protection and Transmission System (iProTxS) and is for mounted and dismounted troops.The system integrates with narrow-band FM radio systems,[url=http://www.smislam.com/]Cheap Christian Louboutin[/url], AM systems, digital 4-FSK frequency hopping, VHF, UHF, combat net radio, TETRA and professional mobile radio frequencies."We are excited to bring this capability to our products to help improve operational communications in difficult jamming environments," said Nick Bobay, president of Exelis Night Vision and Tactical Communications Systems. The company plans to incorporate the technology into its product portfolio for international customers. Production work will take place a company facility in Basingstoke.Additional details of the product and production schedule were not disclosed.
