Browns, David Nelson agree to terms
APThe Browns and wide receiver David Nelson have agreed on a one-year contract, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday.A fourth-year pro from Florida, Nelson missed all but one game of the 2012 season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the Bills' Week One loss at the Jets. The Bills did not tender him as a restricted free agent, which allowed him to sign elsewhere without Buffalo receiving any compensation or the right to match an offer.In three seasons with Buffalo, the 26-year-old Nelson caught 94 passes for 1,042 yards and eight TDs.Nelson, who caught 61 passes two seasons ago, could compete for playing time inside if the Browns, like the Bills, use him in the slot, though he can also be used outside. The Browns are not particularly deep at wide receiver, and the 6-foot-5, 214-pound Nelson is the first addition to the receiving corps since head coach Rob Chudzinski and general manager Mike Lombardi were hired earlier this year.
