AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 15 () -- A "lock-and-launch" long-range target tracking system for rifles that turns anyone into a marksman is being put on show in Nevada this week.TrackingPoint, an applied technology company based in Texas, said its Precision-Guided Firearm system is based on patent-pending innovations in optics and fire control and is suitable for civilian as well as military use for targets up to as much as 1,200 yards away."Precision Guided Firearms completely change the way we hunt, compete and defend," said TrackingPoint President Jason Schauble.The company said a shooter using its Tag-Track-Xact technology tags a target with a simple point-and-click action. More than 20 ballistic variables – such as range,[url=http://www.arch-eyes.com/]Christian Louboutin Outlet[/url], wind, velocity, shot angle and temperature, for example -- are instantly calculated into a perfect firing solution."The shooter simply realigns the reticle with the tag point and pulls the trigger," the company said. "The PGF's guided trigger is connected to the tracking optics, and if the shooter is misaligned, the PGF-guided trigger increases in weight, pushing back on the shooter to defer firing until the shooter is perfectly aligned." TrackingPoint's line of PGF systems are being demonstrated at the 2013 SHOT Show in Las Vegas.
